This is a promo for the "Turmoil Focus" painting. It is a photograph of the painting on my painting studio wall.

The painting was painted in July of 2020. The covid pandemic was in full swing. The protests for justice for the murder of George Floyd had turned into full-on police brutality riots. I was asked to return to work on-site, full-time in June of 2020 in Midtown Manhattan. At that point, I had been living in my painting studio (non-residential) for over two and half years. The pandemic and chaos taking place was a serious test of my mental well-being. I had a membership at a local gym, which is where I took showers as there weren't any at the painting studio, and the gym went out of business. There were all kinds of critters in the painting studio so that didn't help to have them waking me up nibbling on my toes and/or crawling across me. There was a lot of turmoil going on, and it took a lot of meditating, and a lot of painting for me to maintain my focus and well-being. It ended up being my most productive year painting to date.
